The USS Charles P. Cecil DD/DDR 835 held its
annual ship's reunion in Corpus Christi, TX from 9/22/2002 thru 9/27/2002. The setting was
ideal for a ship's reunion. The Radisson Hotel, which served as our base of operations,
sat right on the Gulf of Mexico in the shadow of the USS Lexington CVA 16 that was moored
within walking distance of the hotel. Within a stone's throw of the Lexington sat the State
of Texas Aquarium. I came armed with my trusty Olympus digital camera and took well over
200 photos during the week, some good, some bad, and some just plain worthless. Anyway,
after reviewing, sorting, and organizing the best of the photos, I arranged them into
a chronological order to provide a snapshot of this year's reunion. This photo
collage provides a visual summary of some of the many activities enjoyed by all the
Cecil crew members and their wives or significant others during the week.
